LawY offers verification for all substantive legal questions.
This is because we’ve purpose-built LawY to accelerate your legal research. Through giving you extra confidence when exploring key legal principles, we aim to deliver a powerful springboard for your legal research process.
It is also for this reason that we do not offer verification on any templates, affidavits or the like. The nature of these documents requires a nuanced understanding of the facts of the matter, which sits with yourself as the practitioner. LawY aims to support lawyers, not replace them.
Additionally, we do not offer verification of case summaries. When a URL is provided to LawY, the information is directly gathered from the URL as per the user’s request. This allows the user to obtain an automatically generated summary of the case from the primary source and then continue to interact directly with the case via LawY’s chat. In addition, if a case summary of a single case is requested, LawY will use a previously verified link to provide the same, primary source information to the user.
When you click ‘Verify’, LawY extracts each substantive legal question from your conversation, and lists it in a clear and succinct way. Each question will be answered by our AI and then that question and the AI-answer will be provided to a Verifier (an experienced and qualified lawyer) for verification.
All aspects of using LawY (including verification) are included in the cost of your existing subscription or membership with: LEAP, WealthCounsel, DivorceMate, or CORTO.
That’s why it’s free for all LawY users to take advantage of our lawyers-in-the-loop feature. We encourage you to select ‘Submit for verification’ whenever you are looking for extra confidence during your legal research process.
With this new way to submit for verification, clicking ‘Verify’ will provide a list of all substantive legal questions extracted and distilled from your conversation.
If you think there is a substantive legal question missing from your list, try typing your question into the chat window below the list of questions. Make it as sucinct and clear as possible. Then click the ‘Ask’ button to continue your conversation. You can then click ‘Verify’ again and, your additional question should appear in the list.
If your question still does not appear, please notify hello@lawy.ai and we can assist you from there.
Please note, we do not offer verification for templates, affidavits, case summaries, or the like.
