What is LawY Verify?

LawY Verify refers to the exclusive panel of Verifiers, who review the accuracy of AI-answers and make changes where necessary. This panel of Verifiers comprises experienced and qualified local lawyers who are experts in their respective fields.

Our Verifiers are the driving force behind accuracy in LawY by contributing to our unique "lawyer-in-the-loop" solution. LawY users can request verification by selecting the 'Verify' button beneath any AI-answer. This will send any substantive legal question to our Verifiers.

How do I become a Verifier?

We invite any experienced lawyers to submit their expressions of interest by clicking the relevant country tile above and completing the form. Please note, there are some eligibility requirements which you can read on the individual pages. Once you have completed the form, one of our team will get in touch to discuss the next steps.

LawY is expanding faster than ever, and we are always looking for new Verifiers to join the panel — especially Verifiers in niche areas of law. We kindly ask for you to share this page with any colleagues who you think may be interested in joining the panel.

Can I stop being a Verifier?

Yes, you can choose to leave the panel at any time. We understand circumstances change, and appreciate your contribution to the future of legal AI.

Simply email hello@lawy.ai (or your local LawY representative) with your request to leave the panel and we will organise this for you.

Additionally, being a Verifier offers flexibility so there is no minimum number of required AI-answers to verify. We find many Verifiers review a fluctuating volume of AI-answers every week or month depending on their own capacity. No action is required if you simply want to take a break for a short time.

What are the requirements for becoming a Verifier?

Our Verifiers are experts in their respective fields, so one of the requirements includes a minimum of 5 years experience practicing law with demonstrated expertise in specific areas of law. However, the requirements do vary by region, so we recommend viewing the page that is most relevant for you: Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, and Canada.

What does a Verifier do?

Our Verifiers are qualified and highly experienced legal professionals who ensure the accuracy of AI-generated responses to legal questions asked in LawY. Verifiers review these AI-answers, cross-checking them against current laws and legal precedents, and make necessary corrections to uphold the highest standard of accuracy. They evaluate the AI-answer based on its accuracy, relevance, and level of detail.

Becoming a Verifier also offers flexibility, as there is no minimum number of answers to verify ongoing. We find many Verifiers review a fluctuating volume of AI-answers every week or month, based on their changing capacity. However, we do have a limit on the volume of AI-answers each individual Verifier can review, to maintain equal opportunity across the panel.

As a Verifier, how many questions do I need to verify?

There is no minimum number of AI-answers a Verifier needs to review each month. Most Verifiers will review a fluctuating volume of AI-answers based on their capacity each week or month. This flexibility is a key benefit for many of the lawyers joining our panel.

However, there is a monthly limit for each individual Verifier, as this allows equal and fair opportunity amongst all Verifiers.

Can a user see who is verifying their question?

No, users cannot see who is verifying their AI-answer. And vice versa, a Verifier cannot see who is asking the question.

This double-blind verification system is a key part of how LawY works to protect your privacy, while also including a powerful and unique lawyer-in-the-loop feature.

How much are Verifiers paid for verifying AI-answers?

Verifiers are paid their respective hourly rates for verifying AI-answers. This is a key benefit of joining the panel as it offers the ability to create a new revenue stream and increase your overall billable hours with ease.
